Signature Assignment = PRESENTED AT FINAL CLASS
Technology Integrated Lesson Plan
Description of Assignment:
Students develop a lesson plan that integrates technology both as a teaching tool as well as a learning tool for students. The lesson plan provides a description of the learning activity, a rationale for technology integration, aligns with content and technology standards, and addresses various learning modalities. Grading will be based on two components: the lesson and the presentation. (Resources listed below)
1. Lesson component must include:
+ All the normal stuff: Grade level, content standards, learning objectives, (optional NETS standards, Bloom’s LOTS/HOTS)
+ List other/alternate activities/instruction for an English learner
+ Teacher Use: At least 2 forms of technology should be used by teachers for instructional strategies and/or Assessment (Introduction/Frontloading, Content Delivery, Practice, Monitoring)
+ Student Use: At least one form of technology should be actively used by students
+ Assessment activity/assignment for students
+ Create an assessment rubric for measuring student learning (like Rubistar or other)
+ Present your lesson at the final class
Use a rich-media presentation tools, such as:
Glogster EDU
Prezi, PowerPoint
PBWiki, Promethean Software, SMART Notebook
Or one listed below
2. Presentation component must include:
+ Narrative Description
+ Student instructions
+ Examples
+ Demonstration, video, hands on, etc.
