Video/Digital Storytelling Assignment = Due by class Monday, Sept. 24.
Description of Assignment:
Students develop an idea to represent in video or digital storytelling. Using Photostory3 (or other program with teacher approval), students will create the video, then upload it to youtube.com, and link it to their website. The assignment must include the following criteria:
+ Minimum of 2:00 minutes in length
+ Minimum of 10 pictures
+ At least one title
+ Must include music
+ Add at least 2 of the following:
-recorded narrations
-transitions
-custom zooming
-other enhancement
***For students without access to PCs, but have a Mac, you can do the same project in iMovie. This tutorial may be helpful.
You can try to do the upload on your own, or we will do it together in class.
After video is complete, students will:
+ “Save your story” -Using the “settings” button, choose “For Computer -2 (640X480)”,then choose location where you want the file to go.
+ Upload video to youtube.com (will require creating a free user account)- may mark for privacy.
+ Post link to youtube on the video page of their website
+ Add a brief description of video or story, target audience, and how it could/should be used.
